Abstract. Sustainable development education is a prior solution in creating sustainable and environmentally friendly animal livestock activities in Tahunan Village. Holistic sustainability includes ecological, economic, and socio-cultural aspects. Sustainable development education is developed with an integrated farming system and community empowerment based. Productivity increase leads to environmentally friendly animal livestock. The integrated farming system is expected to provide added value for farmers and the community through recycling organic waste into products that have economic value. Community participation in the concept of empowerment has an important role as a source of information about the conditions, needs, and attitudes of the community. Decision making in the integrated farming concept is based on joint decisions. Integrated farming activities are carried out through training of making and commersialising products, including assistance in making compost and local micro organisms, harvesting compost and fertilizer, initiating diversification of milk-based food, developing packaging and display of milk-based products, training in plant demonstration plots (demplot), and application of compost to chilli cultivation. Community empowerment is expected to accomplish the goal of Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs); climate change mitigation actions and improve welfare of rural communities through environmentally friendly and integrated animal livestock activities.
