The Education, Audio-Visual, Culture Executive Agency (EACEA) in close cooperation with the Delegation of the European Union to Indonesia organized a two days event in Jakarta with Indonesian Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) and organizations involved in projects selected under 2015, 2016, 2017, 2018 and 2019 for Capacity Building in Higher Education (CBHE) in the framework of the Erasmus+ Programme.
RCE Yogyakarta was invited to attend the two days workshop as it’s running on the Erasmus+ Project in 2019 entitled Information Communication Technology enabled-in Education for Sustainability (ICTeEfS). This event involved a cluster meeting with the Indonesian HEIs and organizations on the first day and an Info-session on the international dimension of the Erasmus+ Programme on the second day. Both events took place in Menara Astra, Jakarta.
The project advisor of EACEA, Ms. Giordana Bruno stated that the main purpose of the CBHE Cluster meeting was to give the Indonesian HEIs a forum to create synergies, encourage contacts and networking activities in order to increase their impact within the CBHE action. At the same time, all the partners had the opportunity to discuss the various aspects related to their participation in the projects whilst making them aware of the challenges and difficulties in project implementation. Moreover, it also gave the opportunity to all the participants to raise any questions that they would like. Representatives of the EU Delegation in Indonesia will be present giving the event more visibility at national level.
This meeting was focused specifically on the targeted Country since this could be a very good opportunity for them to network with other universities and share their experiences.
In line with those activities, Ms. Bruno has opportunity to visit Universitas Gadjah Mada to evaluate and monitor the 14 Erasmus+ running and past capacity building programs for higher education in UGM.
