
Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) are one of the pillars of national economic, especially in increasing employment and providing broad economic services to the community. The strategic role of MSMEs is to promote the process of equity and increase community income, economic growth, and realize national stability.
Although UMKM has shown its role in the national economy, it still faces various obstacles and constraints, both internal and external, in terms of production and processing, marketing, human resources, design and technology, capital, and business climate.




In order to support the implementation of ESD in community empowerment, RCE Yogyakarta together with Directorate of Community Services UGM held a meeting or sarasehan with the theme: “Strengthening Commitments with the Community and Schools for a Sustainable Education” at the UGM Central Building on 18-19 September 2019. The meeting was attended by several parties who were agreed to be able to take an important role in the success of sustainable development such as lectures from several universities in Yogyakarta, deans of UGM, teachers from several schools in Yogyakarta, some principals in the Yogyakarta area, and some communities that are members of NGOs.
