ESD is a deep, broad, comprehensive and futuristic concept that raises awareness, sense of responsibility, changes in behavior and the ability to manage, improve and save human life and its environment, both for the present and the future. This program is an effort to support the Sustainable Development Goals (SDG’s) agenda. The three important pillars in sustainable development are Ecology, Economy, and Social, which are synergistically driven. Puton, one of sub-village in Trimulyo Village, Jetis District, Bantul Regency, was developed as a tourist village. The relatively comfortable characteristic of Putom area is that it is still dominated by agricultural activities, cultural and religious wealth, and has abundant water resources, making this district very potential to be developed as an integrated tourism village. These potentials will be more strategic and useful if they continue to be developed according to their respective functions by utilizing the synergism of tourism activities. The objectives of this ESD-based community service activity are (1) pioneering Puton Tourism Village into an edupark-based foster village through community development, participatory, persuasive, and educative approaches, (2) forming community groups managing tourism villages and Puton Area culture and community groups.
